Nick & Jane
... but here it is, because so many of you asked to see our show dance again. It comes courtesy of Nigel for the footage and of Jane for her choreography.
Those who attended the Wedding were treated to our First Dance, which was a waltz to the classic number 'At Last', sung by Etta James. We believe that at the time there was a certain amount of debate as to the quality of Nick's footwork, although it was also suggested by a member of the audience that Len (Goodman) would have given the performance a '10'.
Anyway, to get some perspective and to show how this waltz could be performed, play the video of a couple of our heroes, and take note of their masterly footwork!
Despite the threat of new COVID-19 regulations spoiling our fun, the introduction of the three Tiers has made no practical difference as we have nobody coming from the Tier 3 areas (e.g. Liverpool and Lancashire).
Weddings and funerals remain the exceptions to the 'Rule of Six', as long as they are conducted in COVID-19 Secure premises. Guests from Tier 1 and 2 are currently free to travel and attend them.
For further details, see 'COVID-19 Latest' below.
So unless and until there is something like a full national lockdown (and that won't happen before tomorrow), it's business as usual!
Just because we have a wedding coming up, doesn't mean other things don't happen.
They certainly do, and today (6th) was my birthday, so I had some birthday cards including this one from Jane - complete with p p p penguins.
They get everywhere.
